parade

my god this took ages.. its the perfect example of me starting off with a terrific idea and being spurred on by a wave of motivation, then quickly losing interest and drive until it gets kicked into a corner and forgotten for a weeks/months/years.

i probably started this mid last year, and for one reason or another i just couldnt find it in me to get on with it.

but my sister's 21st came around and there was this massive empty wall in the house that needed to be occupied, and there was my lightbulb moment..

i finished it just in time and it was very much wet as it hung on the wall. must say im quite pleased with it. oil on canvas with plenty of gooey linseed and turps mixed in and poured over liberally. enjoy.
